1.  . From backward the planning is as following:

-          Spring 2010: International students workshop in Essen by the occasion of the city of Essen being awarded as the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010. The proposal to carry out a “creative” workshop was accepted by everyone: The students will put on stage a theatre play in cooperation with a professional theatre company, i.e. “Theater an der Ruhr”.

-          Autumn 2009: International students workshop at Europaschule Köln by the occasion of celebrating the tenth anniversary of NEOS. It will also be the start and preparation for the following theatre workshop.

-          Spring 2009: International teachers meeting in Dzierzoniow, continuation of the teachers training from Orvieto and preparation of the students workshops.

-          Autumn 2008: International teachers meeting in Pontedera, continuation of the teachers training from Orvieto and preparation of the students workshops.

Because the financial conditions for carrying out Comenius 3-Projects have changed within the last years, we can try to finance all 4 events essentially by means of Comenius and Leonardo. This would mean an essential reduction of the costs for the inviting schools. The representatives of the German NEOS-schools will meet on June, 12, to discuss the matter in detail and afterwards will present their proposals to everyone.

 2.  There was a new proposal concerning work experience for students in building up a tandem structure. Unlike former work experience projects the tandem structure wouldn’t need an intensive involvement of teachers accompanying many students, but single students of NEOS schools would get in contact with each other, prepare themselves in advance and at last visit each other to make their work experience abroad.       find here more details

3. It has been reported about the ELOS work in the last Comenius 3 project. There will be a successive ELOS project, into which those NEOS schools, who have joined the ELOS network, will be involved for spreading the thought of europe oriented school development. One big aim of ELOS is to found a top association representing different smaller associations (like NEOS) and institutions and to become a strong lobbying partner for European institutions in Bruxelles.
